Bethlehem, PA – Stockton University (5-3-1) saw their four-match unbeaten streak come to a halt, as the Ospreys fell 1-0 to Moravian (3-2-2) on Wednesday night.
Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) and
Rylee Getter (Galloway/Absegami) fired five of the six shots on net for the visitors on the night.
After a scoreless first half, the Greyhounds potted the lone score of the game at 58:07, when Lexi Rushatz hit the net for the 1-0 lead. The home team made it stand up, fending off seven attempts by Stockton.
The closest Stockton came to a goal was
Riley Finnegan (Pennington/Hopewell Valley) who hit the crossbar in the 65th minute. Williams made one last attempt in the final two minutes that was kicked away.
Morgan Keil (Upper Twp./Holy Spirit) made four saves in net for the Ospreys.
Payce Korpics and Paige Harrison both played a half and made three saves each in the combined shutout for the Greyhounds.
Stockton will begin NJAC play when the Ospreys will face Rutgers-Newark at home on Saturday afternoon. Game time is scheduled for 12 PM
