Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-7, 3-5 NJAC) staged a furious second half rally but fell just short to Kean University (7-8, 5-3 NJAC) by a 56-51 score on Wednesday night.
Adriyana Jennings (Camden/Winslow Twp.) tied her career high with 24 points to lead the Ospreys.

Stockton started off slowly, scoring just 15 points in the first half as the home team struggled to find the range. Kean shot 11-24 (50.0%) in the first half to garner a 13-point lead at 28-15 after 20 minutes of play. Â

The Ospreys gathered themselves at the break, tallying 22 points to just 12 for the Cougars to slice the margin to 40-37 after three quarters. Jennings led the way with 12 of her points, that included a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe.
Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) added six markers to the total in the period.

Although the Ospreys pulled within one point on two different occasions, Kean was able to hold off Stockton in the final period. A pair of foul shots by
Madison Dulude (Sewell/Washington Twp.) with 4:50 remaining got the Ospreys to 42-41 but that was as close as they would come.
The Ospreys had one final attempt at tying the contest with eight seconds left. Kean held a 54-51 advantage and Morrone's three-ball fell short. A pair of foul shots set the final score at 56-51 in favor of the Cougars.

Jennings added a game-high nine rebounds, pilfered four steals, and shot a perfect 12-12 from the foul line on the evening. Morrone chipped in with 10 points, dished three assists and added a pair of steals.

For Kean, Shannon McCoy tied Jennings for game-high honors with 24 points, including six three-pointers. Macy Seaman added 10 points, four rebounds and four blocks. Brittany Graff led the team with seven rebounds, six assists and five steals to go with six points.

Stockton will travel to Jersey City for their next contest, as the Ospreys will face off against New Jersey City University on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
