Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-9, 4-7 NJAC) snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 43-35 victory over Ramapo College (14-4, 8-3 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.  Adriyana Jennings (Camden/Winslow Twp.) registered her ninth double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Ospreys.

The contest started slowly with Ramapo taking a 10-9 lead after one period as the teams played evenly. The Roadrunners jumped out to a 7-2 lead before Stockton rallied with seven of the next 10 points to pull within one point after the first quarter. Madison LaRosa (Oceanport/Shore Regional) tallied five of the markers for the Ospreys.

Stockton broke out in the second period outscoring the visitors 11-5, holding Ramapo to just five foul shots in the frame. The Roadrunners shot 0-12 during the period from the floor, as Jennings scored eight points to help the Ospreys to a 20-15 advantage at the break.

Neither team could score much in the third period, as Ramapo climbed with four at 29-25 after three quarters, setting up a tense final period.

Nicole Strumolo Denville/Morris Catholic) made a pair of free throws to give Stockton a 39-29 lead with 3:17 left before Ramapo made a final push. The Roadrunners closed to 41-35 before Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) made a foul shot to force Ramapo into a three-possession game with 31 seconds left.

But a turnover, a crucial block by Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) and foul shot by Jennings with 19 seconds remaining, gave Stockton the win 43-35 over the number one team in the NJAC at the moment.

In addition to Jennings, Morrone filed the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks on the day. Madison Dulude (Sewell/Washington Twp.) pulled down 11 boards, with Strumolo chipping in with eight points off the bench.

For Ramapo, Jackie Ventricelli and Olivia Johnstone scored eight points each, with Shannon Burns grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds. Salma Eddahiri topped all players with four blocked shots.
