Radnor, PA – Stockton University (11-3, 1-1 NJAC) earned their second straight win with a thrilling 3-2 win over Cabrini (6-7) on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup.
Allie Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) scored the game winner with less than four minutes left to gain the victory for Stockton.

The Ospreys got on the board first when
Makayla Alessi (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) scored her fifth goal of the season at 11:52 of the first period. Palumbo took a shot that was kicked out, but Alessi pounced on the rebound for the 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later, the Cavaliers knotted the match at 1-1 to end the first frame.

In the 27th minute, Stockton regained the lead as
EB Rafferty (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury) took a pass from Palumbo for her first goal of the season, and a 2-1 advantage for the Ospreys. The visitors held the slim one goal margin thought the rest of the half.

After a scoreless third quarter, Cabrini tied the game at 2-2 just 4:08 into the period. Stockton took the lead for good at 56:18 when
Kiera Lyons (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) inserted a penalty corner to
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional). Thompson found Palumbo who tallied her NJAC leading 11th goal of the season for the 3-2 lead, and her fourth game winning marker of the season.

The Cavaliers made one final push in the final 1:19 with a man-up advantage. Two shots were fired wide and goalkeeper
Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) made a huge save with 36 seconds remaining to preserve the 3-2 win for the Ospreys.

Czaczkowski made seven saves in earning her second win of the season in net.

Stockton will return to NJAC Play on Saturday, when the Ospreys will travel to Mahwah, NJ to face Ramapo College. Game time is scheduled for 4 pm.
