Glassboro, N.J. – Stockton University (9-3, 0-1 NJAC) saw its nine-game winning streak snapped one short of the school record as the Ospreys were edged 1-0 by 17th-ranked Rowan University (6-5, 1-1 NJAC) in Stockton's conference opener. The 2019 squad began the season with 10 consecutive wins.

Hannah Ayari-Dias (North Caldwell/West Essex) made six saves in the game, however the Stockton offense was blanked for the first time this season.
Rowan's Sidney Pavlishin scored the game's lone goal 25 seconds into the second quarter. The shot attempts and penalty corners were even at 11 and five respectively. The Profs put seven shots on goal to four by the Ospreys.
Allie Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) topped Stockton with three shot attempts, including one on goal.
Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) nearly tied the game late in the second period on a shot that hit the crossbar. Profs' goalie Aida Ingram made four saves to keep Stockton off the board.
Stockton will host Montclair State University in an NJAC game on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
