Stockton Rallies For 3-1 Win

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Stockton University (7-0-5, 1-0-2 NJAC) scored all of their goals in the second half, and downed King's College (PA) (4-5-1) by a 3-1 score on Wednesday afternoon. Grace Tecce (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks South) led the Ospreys with a goal and an assist for three points. The victory extended the Stockton unbeaten streak to 12 straight games to start the season.

The Monarchs scored their only marker of the match 13:31 in and made it stand up through the half for the one goal advantage at the break.

The Ospreys then exploded for a trio of goals in the final 45 minutes of play. Freshman Katie Ambos (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) potted her second goal of the year to the top right corner at 55:53, on Emily Hauck (Lebanon, PA/Northern Lebanon) assist. In the 70th minute, Tecce tallied her first goal of the season, on another helper from Hauck, for the 2-0 lead and the eventual game winner.

3:01 later, freshman Megan Morris (Sicklerville/Bishop Eustace) hit the top right corner off the net, after a corner kick from Tecce, for an insurance goal and a 3-1 lead. The Ospreys defense stiffened after and took the two-goal victory.

Megan Brady (Rockaway /Morris Knolls) posted her second win in net with a three save effort on the day.

Stockton will return home to face NJAC foe William Paterson on Saturday at G. Larry James Stadium. Game time is set for 12 pm.
