Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Stockton University (2-1) scored the first 10 points of the game and stayed in front the rest of the way for a 78-30 victory over Rosemont College (0-4). The Ospreys shot 58.3% from the field and four players reached double figures.
Lauren Winant (Middletown/Middletown South) scored a career-high 12 points while
Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) and
Trina Deveney-Bethea (Mays Landing/Cedar Creek) also tallied 12 points apiece. Morrone shot a perfect 6-6 from the floor.
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) equaled her career high with 10 markers.
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) chipped in with eight points and game highs of five assists and three steals. All 13 healthy Ospreys played, and 11 scored.
Four early points by Winant sparked Stockton to a 10-0 lead on the way to a 20-8 advantage after one quarter. The Ospreys shot a blistering 9-12 (75%) from the field during a 20-2 second period that gave them a commanding 40-10 lead at the half.
Winant and
Sidney Spence (Bronx/Brooklyn Law & Tech) poured in eight points apiece during the quarter. Robinson scored all 10 of her points in the third quarter as the margin ballooned to 44 at 63-19 after three, and Stockton coasted to the 78-30 triumph.
Mojisola Shokeye tossed in a game-high 14 points and Symone Wilson added 10 counters for Rosemont.
Stockton will play four of its next six games at home, starting with a matchup against Alvernia University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
