Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-3, 3-0 NJAC) weathered a late rally by Ramapo College (3-5, 1-2 NJAC) and came away with a 50-48 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Skylar Fowlkes (Vineland/Vineland) led the Ospreys with her second straight double-double of 12 points plus a career-high and game-high 11 rebounds.

Stockton started slowly as Ramapo scored the first five points in the game. The Ospreys rallied to tie the game at 7-7, then went on an 8-0 run in a 2:07 span to forge a 15-7 advantage. Fowlkes tallied five points, with
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) adding three points, two assists and two steals, to lead the surge, as Stockton was able to maintain a 15-13 lead after one frame.

Both defenses tightened up during a low-scoring second period, as Stockton maintained their lead at 23-20 after one half of play. The Roadrunners managed just seven points on 3-14 (21.4%) shooting, while Stockton tallied eight markers. Fowlkes led all players with nine points, with
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) adding five points in the first 20 minutes of play.

The Ospreys expanded the lead with an 11-9 third period, led by the Stockton defense, who held the visitors to just 3-16 (18.8%) shooting and a 34-29 lead after third quarters.

Ramapo closed to 34-33 to start the final period as the teams traded points for the first part of the fourth period. Stockton tried to pull away with a 10-3 run over a three and a half minute span, led by
Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) with six of the markers for a 44-36 margin with 5:33 to play that was the largest advantage of the day for the home squad.

But the Roadrunners clawed back to close within two points at 45-43 with 1:40 to play. The Ospreys were able to stave off Ramapo, hitting a perfect 6-6 from the foul line down the stretch to capture the 50-48 victory and remain unbeaten in NJAC play.

Morrone and Fathi added eight points each with Morrone grabbing six rebounds, and Fathi dishing three assists.
Madison Dulude (Sewell/Washington Twp.) pulled down eight rebounds to go with seven points. Robinson filled the stat sheet with three points, three assists, three steals and a block.

Ramapo was led by Olivia Johnstone with a game-high 15 points, on five made three-pointers. Jada Thompson finished with a double-double of 11 points, 10 boards and had a game-high four assists.

Stockton will face Rutgers-Newark at home for their next matchup. The game is scheduled for Wednesday at Gerry Matthews Court and tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.
