Overview
The Stockton Men's Soccer team came away with 11 victories in 2023 for the squad's highest win total since 2017. The Ospreys started the season in fine fashion, compiling an eight-game unbeaten streak (5-0-3). They went 11-4-5 overall while playing a schedule that featured four matches against teams that made the NCAA Tournament, including ties versus two that reached the Final Four.

Stockton qualified for the NJAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed with a 4-2-3 conference record and advanced to the semifinals. The Ospreys tied for second in the NJAC in shutouts (9) and finished third in the conference in scoring offense (1.95 gpg) and scoring defense (0.90 GAA).

Head coach
Greg Ruttler had 13 players that saw action in 18 or more games, with five starting all 20 matches for a young team that had just one senior and two juniors. Ruttler passed Walt Pericciouli for third in program history with 86 career wins.

Highlights
- Sophomore Aiden Hoenisch led the Stockton offense, topping the team in goals (13), points (28) and game-winning goals (5). Hoenisch finished second in the NJAC in game-winners, third in points and tied for third in goals.
- Hoenisch went 5-6 on penalty kicks this season, and his goal and point totals were the highest by an Osprey since 2015. He scored at least one point in 11 of Stockton's 20 games, highlighted by a hat trick against Ramapo on October 21.
- Freshman goalkeeper Brady Bartletta had a tremendous first season in Galloway and became the program's 14th NJAC Rookie of the Year. Bartletta led the league in minutes played in net (1763:13), tied for third in shutouts (7) and placed third in goals against average (0.92) plus fourth in save percentage (.775).
- Junior Joseph Carbone finished second on the team in scoring with six goals and four assists for 16 points. Carbone tied for eighth in the NJAC in goals and points. He started all 20 games and tallied at least one point in eight contests.
- Jake Homowitz had a breakout sophomore season, leading the team with six assists to go with four goals for 14 points. Homowitz tied for fourth in the NJAC in assists, went a perfect 3-3 on penalty kicks and exhibited strong two-way play at midfield.
- Sophomores Dawson Joseph, Thomas Trimble and Tommy Osterman, along with freshman Noah Jones and junior Kieran Sundermann comprised a strong defensive corps. Trimble, Jones and Sundermann played in all 20 games, with Joseph appearing in 19 matches and Osterman adding a pair of goals.
- The midfield was solid, led by senior Antonio Matos in the center. Matos scored one goal and tied for second on the team with four assists for six points. Sophomore Uche Wokocha blossomed in his second season, starting all 18 games in which he played and tallying two goals and an assist.
- Freshmen JP Candela and Nicholas Calambas bolstered the midfield in their rookie year. Candela played in 18 games and contributed a pair of markers plus one assist while Calambas saw action in all 20 matches including five starts.
- Freshmen Ernst Louisius, Joseph A. Carbone, Carter Bailey and Johnathan Holden were big parts of the team's strong freshman class. Carbone (3 G, 4 A, 10 P) and Louisius (4 G, 1 A, 9 P) were fourth and fifth on the squad in scoring while Bailey and Holden contributed defensively in 16 and 13 games respectively including five starts for Holden.
