Collegeville, PA – Stockton University (3-1) posted their third consecutive win with a 14-11 decision of Ursinus College (1-2) on Wednesday night.
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) scored a career-high five goals to lead the Ospreys.

McLaughlin and
Lilly Alessandro (Jenkintown, PA/Abington) got Stockton off to a quick start potting the first two goals of the game within a span of 37 seconds. The Bears knotted the game soon after at 2-2, before
Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) and
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) offset a pair of goals by Ursinus for a 4-4 tie after one period.

McLaughlin and Alessandro each scored a pair of tallies in the second period, but the Bears answered with four of their own to knot the game again at 8-8 after two quarters. Th Ospreys were able to take a slim 10-9 advantage into the final stanza on goals by Giordano and McLaughlin against one for the home team.

Stockton outscored the Bears 4-2 in the final quarter on the strength of tallies by McLaughlin,
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat),
Meghan Pellegrino (Somers Point/Mainland) and Giordano. Jackson's marker turned out to be the game winner.

Alessandro and Giordano each scored three goals, with Alessandro grabbing a team-high seven draw controls and setting a career-high for goals in the game. Marinello scooped four ground balls, added two assists and tied McLaughlin and
Drew Coxson (Chatham/Chatham) with two caused turnovers each.

Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) started and played the first half, making two saves in earning her third win of the season.
Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) played the second half kicking out three shots to preserve the victory.

For Ursinus, Julia McCann scored four goals and grabbed 11 draw controls to lead the team. Grace Lynch added three markers with Mary Michaud tallying twice. Netminder Alexa Machado made nine saves for the Bears.

Stockton will travel to Scranton, PA on Saturday for their next match against Marywood University. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
