Hilton Head, S.C. – Stockton University (3-1) opened the spring season with a 7-2 victory over Shenandoah University (1-4) in the first of five matches in Hilton Head during spring break. The Ospreys won two out of three in doubles and then five out of six in singles.
 
In doubles, Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) and Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) won 8-4 while Carlee Cristella (Mantua/Clearview) and Kierstyn Fenimore (Tabernacle/Seneca) also prevailed 8-4.
 
Singles winners were Pasquale by a 6-2, 6-0 score, van Schalkwyk with a 6-4, 6-2 decision, Cristella with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph, Fenimore by a 6-2, 6-2 count and Sarb Devi (Galloway/Absegami) with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
 
Tomorrow, Stockton will play Loras College at 2 p.m. in Hilton Head.
