Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-1) exploded for nine goals in the first quarter and cruised to an 18-4 win over SUNY New Paltz (3-2) on Monday afternoon.
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) led the Ospreys with six goals on the day.

Stockton opened the scoring 48 seconds into the contest on a
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) tally.
Emily Deworsop (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) added one more before the Hawks sliced the lead to 2-1. That was as close as the visitors would come as Stockton ripped off the next five goals, three by Marinello.

New Paltz made it 7-2 before Deworsop and
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) pushed the advantage to 9-2 after one frame. The Ospreys expanded the margin to 13-3 at the break as Marinello potted a pair of tallies with Deworsop and McLaughlin adding on.

Stockton outscored the Hawks 5-1 in the second half to set the final score at 18-4 in favor of the home squad.

Deworsop added four goals, with Costello scoring three times and dishing two assists to tie her career high with five points. McLaughlin and
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat) grabbed six draw controls each, with McLaughlin also causing four turnovers.

Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) started and played the first half, making four saves in earning her fourth win of the season.
Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) played the final 30 minutes and made three saves.

Julia Longo scored three goals for New Paltz, with Kaitlyn Shaw adding a goal and assist. Netminder Gabriella Tommaso played the first half making three save. Mollie Harris finished the contest, kicking out two shots.

Stockton will play home again on Wednesday against DeSales University. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
