Davenport, Fla. – Stockton University (5-6) played its fifth game in four days and fell to Anderson University (Ind.) (6-5) 15-4 in Florida. Five of the runs scored by Anderson were unearned.
 
Antonio Gatti (Howell/Howell) continued to swing a hot bat by going 2-5 with a double, run and an RBI. Gatti is 6-13 (.429) with six runs in Stockton's last three games. Cooper Fiore (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) extended his hitting streak to five games with a double. Fiore also tallied one run, one RBI and one walk.
 
After Stockton surrendered the first three runs of the game, Fiore scored an unearned marker in the bottom of the second to get the Ospreys on the board. Anderson then broke the game open with six runs in the top of the third.
 
Stockton got two back in the bottom half on an RBI double by Gatti followed by an RBI double from Fiore that scored Gatti to make it 9-3.
 
Anderson notched three runs apiece in the fifth and ninth innings while Stockton's final run came on an RBI single by freshman Jimmy Silvano (Blackwood/Paul VI) in the sixth frame that was his first career hit.
 
Freshman righty Niko Logothetis (Wyckoff/Ramapo) came out of the bullpen and pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing five hits and striking out three. Overall, the Ospreys used four pitchers in the game.
 
Stockton will have a day off tomorrow and return to the diamond in Auburndale to face SUNY Brockport on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
