Wayne, N.J. - Stockton University (17-15, 5-5 NJAC) suffered a pair of one-run losses in an NJAC doubleheader at William Paterson. The Ospreys were edged 4-3 and 5-4. Sophomore
Jordan Nitti (Hamilton/Steinert) reached the 100-hit mark for his career during the first game.

Nitti went 2-4 with a double and an RBI in the first game.
Kevin Novobilsky (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) and
Antonio Gatti (Howell/Howell) also rapped two hits apiece.

Stockton took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Novobilsky in the top of the first but the Pioneers scored the next four runs. Nitti, who set a school record with 66 hits last year, reached 100 on an RBI single in the seventh inning that made it 4-2.
Max Kaplan (Wall/Wall) added an RBI single in the inning that made it 4-3 but the Ospreys couldn't complete the comeback.

Niko Logothetis (Wyckoff/Ramapo) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and
Robert Jeans (Toms River/TR North) tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in the game.

Nitti went 2-3 with a home run and two RBI in the second game.
Antonio Gatti (Howell/Howell) was 2-4 with an RBI.

Nitti hit a solo homer and Gatti knocked an RBI single for a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Nitti added another RBI single in the second inning to increase the margin to 3-0 and
Robbie Ford (Green Twp./Newton) scored an unearned run in the fourth inning that made it 4-0.

William Paterson rallied with one run in the fourth inning, two in the fifth and one in the seventh to tie the game before prevailing on a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth for the 5-4 final.

Cooper Fiore (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) singled in each game to extend his reached base streak to 19 straight. Nitti, Ford and Kaplan all extended hitting streaks to seven.

Stockton will have a day off tomorrow and then host Penn State Abington on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
