Selinsgrove, Pa. – Stockton University set three school records to highlight its performance at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships. The Ospreys finished 13th out of 47 women's teams and tied for 23rd out of 43 men's teams at the two-day meet, which was held at Susquehanna University.
 
The women's 4x800 relay team won and set a school record (9:30.79) with a trio of freshmen in 
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/County Prep), 
Gabriella Collins (Matawan/Matawan) and 
Rachel Hayes (Marlboro/St. John Vianney) plus senior 
Lauren Maldonado (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT). The quartet knocked four seconds off the previous mark that stood for seven years.
 
Erik Ackerman (Long Valley/West Morris Central) was the top finisher for the Stockton men's team with a school record in the 1500m (3:53.94) that was good for third place.
 
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown), 
Ryan Fisher (Barnegat/Barnegat), 
Dontay Turner (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) and freshman 
Anthony Gentile (North Cape May/Lower Cape May) set a school record and finished fifth in the 4x100 relay (41.85 seconds).
 
Kass and Maldonado also joined rookies 
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan) and 
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) for eighth place in the 4x400 relay (3:58.52).
 
Stockton earned team points in three women's events. 
Shahyan Abraham (Orange/Orange) finished third in the shot put (13.37m) while 
Michaela Pomatto (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) placed fourth in the discus (42.15) and freshman 
Megan Campanile (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) was seventh in the javelin (38.93m).
 
Fisher finished seventh in the 200m (22.15 seconds) and Latham was eighth in both the 100m (10.81 seconds) and 200m (22.15 seconds). 
Connor Wright (Sicklerville/Hammonton) placed eighth in the triple jump (13.77m) for the Ospreys.
 
Kass and Abraham are ranked in the top 20 in the nation in the 800m and shot put respectively, which would qualify them for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will take place in Rochester, N.Y. on May 26-28. The field of NCAA competitors officially will be announced this weekend.
