Galloway, N.J. – Eight Stockton University student-athletes earned 
College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country honors for 2022-23. All eight registered cumulative grade point averages of 3.65 or higher.
 
Shahyan Abraham (Orange/Orange), 
Kierstin Clem (Voorhees/Eastern Regional), 
Olivia Harris (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake), 
Jessie Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) and 
Lauren Maldonado (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) were Stockton's CSC Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country selections.
 
Mike Carfagno (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), 
Max Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) and 
Cooper Knorr (Manalapan/Manalapan) were CSC Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country honorees for Stockton.
 
Abraham, a senior with a 3.94 GPA, qualified for the NCAA Championships in the indoor weight throw and outdoor shot put this year, finishing 19th and 13th respectively. She earned a total of nine NJAC all-conference honors, including five First Team, and eight USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in her career.
 
Abraham was a two-time NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year and the 2023 USTFCCCA Metro Region Field Athlete of the Year for the indoor season. She finished her career with three school records (13.29m indoor shot put, 17.59m indoor weight throw, 13.80m outdoor shot put).
 
Carfagno is a junior with a 3.99 GPA who competes in the throws. He is a three-time NJAC Honorable Mention competitor in the shot put with two career event wins and 12 top-three finishes.
 
Clem graduated in three years with a 3.84 GPA after competing in cross country and track & field. She was a three-time NJAC all-conference runner with two First Team accolades to her credit as well as USTFCCCA All-Region in the 10,000m this spring. Clem also qualified for NJAC First Team honors in cross country twice.
 
Harris, a senior, was a 4.0 student who ran cross country and track & field. On the track, she was a four-time NJAC all-conference performer highlighted by one NJAC First Team nod. Harris also collected two NJAC Second Team laurels and one USTFCCCA All-Region honor in cross country.
 
Jessie Klenk posted a 3.89 GPA while earning two bachelor's degrees and competing in cross country and track & field. She was a nine-time NJAC all-conference runner with a pair of First Team nods topping the list. In cross country, Klenk amassed three NJAC all-conference spots, including two First Team, plus two USTFCCCA All-Region accolades.
 
Max Klenk was a 4.0 student who graduated earlier this month with two bachelor's degrees after competing in 13 different events during his career, including the decathlon and pentathlon. Klenk produced three NJAC all-conference honors in the decathlon, one of which was NJAC First Team. He also was USTFCCCA All-Region in the decathlon once.
Knorr, a graduate student with a 3.75 GPA, became just the third Osprey male to qualify for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships as he accomplished the feat with a 10th-place finish at NCAA Regionals in the fall. He was the 2020 NJAC champion and NJAC Runner of the Year as well as two-time NJAC First Team and 2022 USTFCCCA All-Region in cross country.
 
Knorr also was a three-time NJAC all-conference runner with one First Team nod in track & field. He set three school records (2:34.32 indoor 1000m, 3:54.71 outdoor 1500m, 8:42.93 outdoor 3000m), two of which still stand.
 
Maldonado, a senior with a 3.65 GPA, did her best work on the track, where she earned five NJAC all-conference honors in the relays, highlighted by one First Team. Maldonado ran legs for two relays that hold school records (3:59.23 indoor 4x400, 9:30.79 outdoor 4x800) and also competed in four cross country races during her career.
