Hackettstown, N.J. – Stockton University (4-0-2) remained unbeaten through the first six games of the season with 5-0 win on the road at Centenary University (1-2-1). The Ospreys posted their third straight shutout and extended their streak to 274 minutes since they last allowed a goal.
Erica Dietz (Allentown, Pa./Central Catholic) led the offense with two goals. Sophomore
Carissa Goodwin (Wayne/Wayne Hills) and freshman
Megan Morris (Sicklerville/Bishop Eustace) each scored their first career goal.
Rylee Getter (Galloway/Absegami) netted one marker as well.
Dietz got the scoring started with an assist by
Emily Hauck (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) just 9:28 into the match. Getter made it 2-0 with an assist by
Katie Ambos (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) at 24:56 and Stockton led by two at the break.
In the second half, Dietz potted her second goal of the game on a helper by
Grace Tecce (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) at the 56-minute mark. Only 7:31 later,
Logan Shaw (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) set up Morris for her first career goal.
Goodwin made it three goals in 9:58 with her first college tally, unassisted at 65:58, and the Ospreys coasted to their third straight triumph, 5-0. Stockton goalkeeper
Megan Brady (Rockaway/Morris Knolls) collected her first shutout of the season as the Ospreys outshot Centenary 25-1.
Cyclones' goalie Emma Ferfecki faced 15 shots on goal and made 10 saves.
On Saturday, Stockton will play its fourth straight away game as the Ospreys visit Alvernia University for a 7:30 p.m. matchup.
