Memphis, TN – Stockton University (2-0-2) extended their unbeaten streak to start the season, with a 2-1 victory in the Rhodes Classic against host Rhodes College (3-1-1). Uche Wokocha (Galloway/St. Augustine Prep) and Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) tallied for the Ospreys.
 
Stockton wasted no time in opening the scoring, as Wokocha netted his first of the year just 1:01 into the match. His header, off a corner kick from Tommy Osterman (Kinnelon/Kinnelon), put the Ospreys up 1-0.
 
Four minutes later, Joseph A. Carbone (East Brunswick/east Brunswick) had a penalty kick knocked away and the lead, in the tightly contested match, would hold up through the rest of the half.
 
In the 66th minute, Louisius took a through ball from Dawson Joseph (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) and tallied his first career goal for the eventual game winner. The Lynx sliced the lead in half at 83:45, but Stockton was able to hold off the hosts for the 2-1 victory.
 
Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) earned his second win of the season in net.
 
Stockton will finish playing at the Rhodes Classic on Sunday against Hendrix College at 12:30 pm.
