Salisbury, Md. – Stockton University (0-2) faced a stiff early season test as the Ospreys took on Salisbury University (2-0), which is ranked fourth in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III poll. Stockton fell 7-1 to the Sea Gulls.

Miana Alessandroni (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) scored her first career goal 3:43 into the fourth quarter to avert the shutout for the Ospreys. Freshman goaltender
Hannah Ayari-Dias (North Caldwell/West Essex) made her college debut for Stockton and recorded eight saves.

Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) registered two apiece of Stockton's six shots in the game. Marli McDorman and Arden Hunteman each netted two goals for Salisbury, which scored twice in the first quarter, once in the second and four times in the third period.
Stockton will play its home opener on Wednesday when the Ospreys host Haverford at 7:30 p.m.
