Stockton Shuts Out Rutgers-Camden 1-0

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (5-4-4, 2-1-1 NJAC) dealt Rutgers-Camden (5-5-4, 1-1-2 NJAC) its first conference loss of the season with a 1-0 victory at G. Larry James Stadium. The win was the third straight for the Ospreys and also extended their unbeaten streak to four (3-0-1).

Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season midway through the first half. Louisius took a pass from Uche Wokocha (Galloway/St. Augustine Prep) and blasted a left-footed shot from the top of the box into the bottom right corner.

Led by Noah Jones (Freehold/Freehold Twp.), Dawson Joseph (East Brunswick/East Brunswick), Kieran Sundermann (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands), Thomas Trimble (Emerson/Emerson) and Nico Calambas (Galloway/Absegami), the Stockton defense limited the Scarlet Raptors to hardly any scoring chances.

Stockton goalkeeper Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) made four saves for his third shutout of the season and 10th of his career in just his sophomore campaign. Rutgers-Camden goalie Sean Boen also finished with four stops in the match.

Stockton will be home again on Wednesday when the Ospreys host Rowan University at 7:00 p.m.
