Immaculata, Pa. – Stockton University (5-5) extended its winning streak to four and evened its overall record with a 3-0 victory over Immaculata University (4-6). The Ospreys took control with two early goals and posted their third straight shutout.
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) and
Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) led Stockton with a goal and an assist apiece.
Kiera Lyons (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) contributed a goal for the Ospreys.
Thompson opened the scoring on an assist by Bilgrami with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter. Just 1:06 later, Lyons potted an unassisted goal to make it 2-0. Thompson and Bilgrami combined again in the third quarter, with Bilgrami scoring on an assist by Thompson for a 3-0 advantage.
Stockton goaltender
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape), the current NJAC and NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week, made two saves for her third consecutive shutout. Roura added to a shutout streak that reached 197:25 and counting.
The Ospreys outshot Immaculata 28-7, and Mighty Macs' goalie Julia Levase made nine saves while facing 12 shots on goal.
Stockton returns home to host FDU-Florham on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
