Stockton Rolls by Rutgers-Newark 4-0

Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-5-2, 4-2-1 NJAC) scored three times in the first half and rolled by Rutgers-Newark (5-8-3, 2-5-1 NJAC) by a 4-0 score on Wednesday afternoon. Logan Shaw (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) led the offense with a pair of goals in the match.

Rylee Getter (Galloway/Absegami) opened the scoring 3:45 into the game on a header for her third goal of the season. Getter scored after a corner kick from Emily Hauck (Jonestown, PA/Northern Lebanon) for the 1-0 lead. It was Hauck's team-leading fifth assist of the season.

In the 32nd minute, Shaw potted her first of the game when she tipped in a pass from Kylee Reissek (Newfield/Delsea), then Sophia Drea (Medford/Shawnee) got her first marker of the season at 36:39 for a 3-0 lead. Drea headed in a corner kick from Reissek for the three goal lead at the break.

Shaw finished the scoring in the 69th minute when she found herself one on one with the goalkeeper. Her shot eluded the netminder for her team-high seventh tally of the season. Both teams substituted liberally for the rest of the game in the 4-0 Stockton victory.

Megan Brady (Rockaway/Morris Hills) made a career-high eight saves in posting her second clean sheet of the season and seventh of her career.
