Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (9-8, 2-3 NJAC) played its final home game of the season and fell 3-1 to Rowan University (11-7, 5-0), who tops the conference standings with an undefeated record in NJAC play. Despite the outcome, the Ospreys remain in the hunt for a berth in the league playoffs.

Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made eight saves and reached the 100-save mark for the season in the process.

Lyons tied the game with an outstanding individual effort as she stickhandled down the left side, cut to the middle and wristed a shot into the cage for her seventh goal of the season and a 1-1 deadlock with 5:08 left in the second quarter.
Lyons' marker gave the Ospreys an emotional lift for the next few minutes before Rowan cashed in on another penalty corner to make it 2-1 with 1:23 remaining in the first half. The Profs scored again with 1:56 left the third quarter and Stockton entered the final stanza trailing by two.
The Ospreys made an offensive push with four penalty corners and five shots in the first 4:34 of the fourth quarter, but they were unable to break through, and they fell 3-1 in the penultimate game of the regular season.

Stockton will finish the regular season with an important conference game at Kean University on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The winner earns the last berth in the NJAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed while the loser is eliminated from playoff contention.
