Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-1, 1-0 NJAC) shot 51.5 % in the second half and pulled away for a 94-87 win over Kean University (1-5, 0-1 NJAC) on Tuesday night in the NJAC season opener for both teams.
Martin Anguelov (Cape May/Wildwood Catholic) led four Ospreys in double figures with a game-high 31 points.

Stockton weathered a tough first half against the Cougars shooting just 9-33 (27.2%) but shot 18-23 (78.2%) from the free throw line to forge a 39-39 draw at the break. Anguelov tallied 13 points while
Tayvon Gaither (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) added 11 markers to guide the home team.

The final stanza went back and forth with six ties until the Ospreys broke through. With the game knotted for the sixth time in the half at 6-67 with 10:20 to play, Stockton outscored the Cougars 27-20 the rest of the way.
EJ Matthews-Spratley (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill East) scored 11 points with Anguelov adding seven pints to help push Stockton to the 94-87 victory.

Gaither backed up Anguelov, who shot 10-19 (52.6%) for the game, with 20 points and game-highs of 10 rebounds and four assists.
Eriq Campbell added 14 points, with Matthews-Spratley chipping in with 13 points, all in the second half.

Kean was led by D.J. Alicea with 30 points, while teammate Adam Silas adding 28 markers.
