New York, N.Y. – Stockton University kicked off a two-meet weekend with some Ospreys competing in the Fastrack National Invite at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. One school record, a number of personal bests and several events in which Ospreys were the top NCAA Division III finisher or one of the top DIII performers highlighted the team's performance.
 
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/County Prep) sliced four-tenths of a second off her school record from two weeks ago, setting a new mark (2:15.59) and finishing fifth out of 99 runners in the 800m. Jaelyn Barkley (Hope/Belvidere) ran a personal best and placed 19th out of 63 in the 3000m (10:39.28).
 
Kass and Barkley joined Olivia Harris (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake) and Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley) for fourth place out of 10 teams in the distance medley relay (12:51.65).
 
Freshman McKenna Pontari (Linwood/Mainland) led the way in the field events by finishing fourth out of 19 in the long jump (4.79m) while fellow rookie Lindsay Hand (Hopatcong/Hopatcong) was fifth out of 18 in the high jump with a personal best (1.50m).
 
Isabella Freda (Verona/Verona) notched a personal best and placed 13th out of 55 in the weight throw. Ashanae Morrison (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) was 13th out of 27 in the long jump invitational bracket with a season best (5.11m).
 
More members of the Stockton team will head to Ocean Breeze tomorrow to compete in the Big Apple Invitational starting at 3:00 p.m.
