Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (2-0) won for the second straight match to start the season, with a convincing 15-7 victory over Farmingdale State (0-1) on Saturday afternoon. Seven different players hit the net led by
Lucy Sullivan (Lafayette Hill, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh) with two goals and four assists for a career-high six points.

The game started fast with Stockton outscoring the Rams 5-3 in the opening period.
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat) tallied two goals with Sullivan,
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) and
Anissa Serafine (Tabernacle/OLMA) offsetting three goals by the Rams.

The Stockton defense then clamped down, not allowing a goal in the second quarter, and adding another marker from Serafine for a 6-3 advantage at the break. The Ospreys broke the game open in the decisive third period, hitting the net six times, before the Rams finally scored with 1:50 remaining in the frame.

Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) scored three times, Marinello with two markers and
Mary Meduri (Brigantine/OLMA) added a score for a commanding 12-4 margin heading to the final frame. The teams each scored three times to set the final score at 15-7 in favor of the home team.

In addition to Sullivan's big game, Mclaughlin scored four goals, Marinello added three markers with Jackson and Serafine chipping in with a pair each.
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) and Meduri added one tally each.

On the defensive side, McLaughlin grabbed seven draw controls to lead all players.
Meghan Pellegrino (Somers Point/mainland) topped everyone with seven ground balls, including the 100th ground ball of her career, coming at 5:58 of the second period, giving her 104 for her career. She also topped the squad with five caused turnovers.

Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) made five saves in earning her second win of the year in net.

For the Rams, freshman Carly Livingston led the team with three goals. Ashley Codispoti had a goal and assist with a game-high six caused turnovers. Netminder Giavanna Stamatelo was outstanding kicking out 15 attempts by Stockton.
