Westminster, MD – Stockton University (9-8) staged a late rally but fell short in a 9-7 loss to McDaniel College (8-8) on Friday afternoon.

Robbie Ford (Green Twp./Newton) and two more by Nitti closed the margin to 7-4.
McDaniel added a single run in the next two frames to make it 9-4 before Stockton would rally. In the top of the seventh, Nitti singled and scored ahead of a
Nick Avagnano (Paramus/Paramus) home run his fourth of the season, to trim the lead to 9-6. It extended his hitting streak to 12 straight games.
The next inning,
