DJ Campbell (Vineland/Vineland) added one more honor to his illustrious collection as he was voted
All-ECAC Second Team. Campbell received an All-ECAC nod for the third straight year. He was All-ECAC First Team the last two seasons as well as ECAC Player of the Year in 2022.
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions. Campbell added the ECAC nod to NABC District 4 First Team, D3hoops.com All-Region and NJAC First Team accolades this year. In addition, he was selected NJAC Player of the Week three times during the season.
The senior produced an outstanding final season for the Ospreys to conclude his exceptional career. Campbell, the lone Osprey to start all 28 games, led the NJAC in minutes played (36.2 mpg) and finished second in scoring (19.6 ppg), free throw percentage (.869), three-pointers (3.0/game) and steals (2.3 spg).
Campbell also finished tied for fourth in the NJAC in blocks (0.9 bpg), seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.340), 10th in field goal percentage (.399) and 11th in rebounds (6.5 rpg). He scored at least 20 points in a game 13 times including four games over 30 markers. Campbell poured in 39 points against Montclair on January 6 to tie the second-highest total in Stockton history.
Campbell enhanced his brilliant career by becoming Stockton's all-time leading scorer on February 14 against Kean, breaking the record of 2,124 career points by Carl Cochran (1993-97). He ended his time as an Osprey with a career total of 2,178 points as well as a school-record 335 three-pointers.
In addition to his lofty scoring and shooting totals, Campbell finished his career second in program history in steals (251), fourth in blocked shots (85), fifth in rebounds (668) and ninth in assists (256).
