Madison, N.J. – Stockton University (2-1) won all nine matches for a 9-0 victory over FDU-Florham (0-1) in the first match of the spring for the Ospreys. Only one Stockton singles player or doubles team dropped more than three games in their match.
Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) and
Kierstyn Fenimore (Tabernacle/Seneca) led the doubles sweep with an 8-0 shutout.
Gabrielle Alexandre (Woodbridge/Mother Seton) and
Rocio Lucero (West New York/Memorial) cruised to an 8-1 victory.
Carlee Cristella (Mantua/Clearview) and
Jamie Theophall (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) notched an 8-3 triumph.
In singles, Pasquale won 6-0, 6-0 and Alexandre was perfect in an 8-0 win. Theophall and Fenimore prevailed by scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-2 respectively. Lucero rolled 6-2, 6-0 and Cristella won the closest match of the day 6-4, 6-2.
Stockton will play at Neumann University on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
