Galloway, NJ. – Stockton University (20-10, 11-3 NJAC) extended its winning streak to eight straight games with a doubleheader sweep over #18 Ramapo College (24-6, 11-3 NJAC) by scores of 2-0 and 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Charli Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) continued her torrid hitting with four safeties on the day. She has batted safely in eight straight games with a superb .566 (17-30) average over that span, while raising her batting average to a gaudy .366.

With the win, the Ospreys reached the 20-win mark for the sixth time in nine seasons, not counting the Covid-19 season, under coach
Mavreen Hering, and pushed the Ospreys into a tie for second place in the NJAC standings with a week to play.

Game one was all
Nerina Tramp (Blackwood/Highland) who tossed a four-hit shutout, running her record to 11-2, with a 1.65 ERA. Tramp also provided the winning runs with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning for the victory.

The Roadrunners scored first in the nightcap, plating two runs in the top of the first inning for a 2-0 lead. The contest would remain that way until Stockton scored four times in the bottom of the fifth inning. A pair of singles by
Ava Kinkler (Northfield/Mainland) and Czaczkowski, set up
Emily Spencer (Southampton/Seneca), who doubled home Kinkler.

Caitlin Cetrulo (Caldwell/James Caldwell) and
Regan Mendick (Newark, DE/Red Lion Christian) added RBI before the Ospreys tallied the final run on an error for the 4-2 lead.

Mia Barone (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) came on to close the door, earning her sixth win of the season with six strong scoreless innings, scattering three hits and fanning three batters. Spencer totaled three hits on the day with freshman
Alexa Panagopoylos (Atco/Hammonton) rapping two hits in game two.

Stockton will travel to Union, NJ to face Kean University on Tuesday in another key matchup. First pitch in the twin bill is set for 3 pm.
