Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (14-2, 3-2 NJAC) finished its best regular season ever with an 18-2 rout of Ramapo College (3-10, 0-5) that was the school-record 14th victory of the season for the Ospreys.
Mary Meduri (Brigantine/OLMA) scored a game-high six goals and set a new school record with 57 markers on the season. Meduri also dished one assist, finishing with seven points.
Lucy Sullivan (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) contributed a goal and five assists for six points followed by
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) with four goals, one assist and seven draw controls.
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat) snagged 10 draw controls, one off the Stockton game record, and became the program's career leader with 136 draw controls. Jackson also tossed in one goal.
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) and
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) potted three and two goals respectively. Goalkeeper
Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) collected the win with two saves.
Stockton scored 10 goals in the first quarter and led 16-0 before Ramapo got on the board in the third period. With the 18-2 triumph, the Ospreys topped the mark of 13 wins by the 2017 team.
Kaylie Gresek and Kelly Griffin scored one goal apiece for Ramapo. Alyssa Curto made nine saves for the Roadrunners.
Stockton will play an NJAC Tournament semifinal on Wednesday. Barring an upset, the Ospreys will be the No. 3 seed and play at No. 2 seed Rowan University. The tournament bracket will be announced at the conclusion of conference play tomorrow.
