Scranton, PA – Stockton University (1-4) fired off 20 shots, with eight on net, but could not overcome the Scranton Royals (5-1) by a 3-2 final on Saturday afternoon.
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) potted both of the Osprey goals on the day.
The home team opened the scoring at 10:32 of the first period before Thompson answered 2:35 later for her first goal of the day.
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington Twp./Burlington Twp.) assisted on the tally to knot the game at 1-1 after one frame.
The Royals scored one goal each in the second and third quarters while keeping Stockton off the board until the final play of the match.

Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional), Bilgrami returned the pass to Thompson who tipped it in as time ran out in the 3-2 defeat.
Bailey and Thompson squeezed off five shots each in the game, with Thompson getting three of the attempts on net.
Goalkeeper
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made eight saves on the day for Stockton.
Bridget Abraldes scored two of the three markers for Scranton, while teammate Lauren Franco dished a pair of assists. Julie Rogel made five saves in net for the Royals.
After three straight road tilts, Stockton will play their next two games at home starting on Wednesday night, when the Ospreys will face Washington College (MD). Game time is set for 7 pm in Galloway.
