Allentown, Pa. – Stockton University (9-1) won twice in a tri-match at Cedar Crest College to boost its current winning streak to seven consecutive victories. The Ospreys topped Penn State Hazleton (2-4) 3-1 and then swept Cedar Crest (4-8) 3-0.
Nicole Palmer (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) led Stockton with 29 kills on the day.
Palmer spiked a match-high 16 kills and added 12 digs, nine assists and five aces against Penn State Hazleton.
Camille De La Torre (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) tallied a season-high 11 kills and
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) dealt 29 assists and served four aces.
McKenna Ritchie (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) scooped a match-high 19 digs and
Ashley Carkhuff (Hackettstown/Hackettstown) contributed 11 digs. Stockton won the opening set 25-18 but then dropped a lengthy second set 29-27. The Ospreys dominated the next two frames 25-7 and 25-15.
Palmer totaled 13 kills and 11 assists versus Cedar Crest. De La Torre smacked eight more digs to bring her total to 19 on the day. Mendick dished 20 assists and Ritchie registered 12 digs. The Ospreys cruised to victory 25-13, 25-21, 25-14.
Stockton will begin NJAC play by visiting Rowan University on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. match.
