Reading, Pa. – Stockton University (4-5) scored twice in the second half for a 2-0 victory over Albright College (3-6) that was the third straight win and second consecutive shutout for the Ospreys. Stockton was opportunistic, scoring on two of their six shots on goal.
Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) broke the scoreless tie with her first goal of the season midway through the third quarter.
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) sealed the win by potting her third tally of the year with 2:11 left in the game.
Kiera Lyons (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) assisted on Thompson's insurance goal.
Stockton goaltender
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) tied her career high with 12 saves on the way to posting her second shutout in a row. Nine of Roura's stops came while the game was scoreless and the other three came while the Ospreys were protecting a one-goal lead. Roura has not allowed a goal in the last 137:25.
Albright goalie Kelsey McTaggart finished with four saves.
Stockton will wrap up a three-game road trip with a game at Immaculata University on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
