Chestertown, Md. – Stockton University (4-1) won six consecutive sets for a pair of sweeps in a tri-match at Washington College (Md.) on Saturday afternoon. The Ospreys topped Neumann (1-5) 25-21, 25-14, 25-19 and then downed the host Shorewomen (3-3) 25-17, 25-19, 26-24.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) and
Jaylah Rolle (Williamstown/Williamstown) led the way with nine kills apiece versus Neumann. Setter
Kristen Burton (Millersville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) contributed 17 assists, six digs and three aces.
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) dished 11 assists and
McKenna Ritchie (Newark, Del./Newark Charter School) paced the back row with eight digs.
Nicole Palmer (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) topped the Ospreys with 12 kills against Washington College, followed by
Ashley Carkhuff (Hackettstown/Hackettstown) and Louer with nine and seven kills respectively. Carkhuff and Louer added seven digs apiece.
Mendick posted a double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs while Ritchie again led the back row, this time with 12 digs.
Stockon will play its next three matches at home, starting with a contest against Ursinus College on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
