Rochester, N.Y. – Stockton University finished seventh in a field consisting entirely of NCAA Division III teams from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the Nazareth Challenge Cup with a team score of 37. The Ospreys scored in seven of the 17 events at the meet.
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) led Stockton with a big day in two events. Fogg won the long jump in a field of 39 competitors and moved into a tie for ninth in the nation (7.17m). The sophomore also finished second out of 17 and joined a tie for 25th in the nation in the triple jump (13.94m). Fogg accounted for 19 of Stockton's 37 team points.
Carson Latham (Bordentown/Bordentown) also was a key contributor for the Ospreys. Latham finished third out of 51 runners in the 200m (22.73 seconds) and sixth out of 52 in the 60m (7.10 seconds final/7.07 seconds prelims).
Johnathan Holden (Waretown/Southern Regional) notched a pair of sixth-place efforts, finishing sixth out of 36 in the 60m hurdles (8.64 seconds) and sixth out of 16 in the high jump (1.82m). Freshman
Timothy Lanblues (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) placed eighth out of 17 in the triple jump (13.13m).
Fellow rookies
Josh Barreiro (Vineland/Vineland) and
Landon Jenter (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) joined
Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland) and
Marcellus Malloy (Marlton/Cherokee) for seventh out of 20 teams in the 4x400 relay (3:32.30).
Stockton will compete in the Seamus McElligott Invitational at Haverford College next Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m.
