Rochester, N.Y. – Stockton University finished ninth in a field consisting entirely of NCAA Division III teams from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the Nazareth Challenge Cup with a team score of 25. The Ospreys scored in six of the 17 events at the meet.
 
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) was the top individual finisher for Stockton with third place out of 25 runners in the 400m (1:00.00). 
Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley) placed sixth with a personal best in the 400m (1:01.30) as she and Kass combined for nine team points in the event.
 
Kass and Sullivan teamed with 
Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) and 
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) for fourth place out of 17 teams in the 4x400 relay (4:02.47). The quartet moved into 18th in NCAA Division III in the relay.
 
Styer also notched a personal best and finished fifth out of 44 runners in the 60m hurdles (9.14 seconds) while Petrolia was 10th out of 23 in the long jump (10.34m). Two more Ospreys fared well in field events as 
Isabella Freda (Verona/Verona) placed seventh out of 38 in the weight throw (15.20m) and 
Eva Morrison (Northfield/Mainland) was seventh out of 23 in the pole vault (3.30m).
 
Stockton will compete in the Seamus McElligott Invitational at Haverford College next Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m.
