Jamaica, N.Y. – Stockton University (7-5) cruised to an 86-40 rout of winless York College (N.Y.) (0-7) on Saturday afternoon for their third win in the last four games. A pair of Ospreys led the way with double-doubles.
Skylar Fowlkes (Vineland/Vineland) tallied career highs of 18 points and 16 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Fowlkes also contributed a game-high four blocks plus four assists and three steals.
ChiChi Wokocha (Galloway/Absegami) notched career highs of 14 points and 14 rebounds for her first career double-double. Fowlkes and Wokocha shot a combined 57.7% (15-26) from the field. Led by the duo, Stockton scored 54 points in the paint and held a 55-32 rebound advantage.
Freshmen
Evangelina Kim (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian) and
BrookeLyn Graham (Paulsboro/Paulsboro) established career highs with nine points apiece while
Danielle Jeffreys (Sicklerville/Williamstown) added eight markers and
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) dealt a game-high seven assists.
Stockton jumped out to a 23-11 lead in the first quarter and put the game away with a dominant 25-1 second stanza that took the Ospreys to the locker room with an insurmountable 48-12 advantage at halftime. Graham scored all nine of her points in the second quarter and Wokocha netted six counters.
Overall, 12 Stockton players scored points in the game as the Ospreys breezed to the 86-40 triumph in the team's final non-conference game of the season.
Stockton will jump back into NJAC play with a road game at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
