Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (7-4-6, 2-2-3 NJAC) maintained its slim lead for fourth place in the conference with a 1-1 tie at Rutgers-Newark (8-7-2, 2-3-2 NJAC), which is tied for fifth in the league.
Makayla Jaffe (Middletown/Middletown South) scored her fourth goal in the last six games.
Jaffe gave Stockton a 1-0 lead by potting her sixth marker of the season with 8:48 remaining in the first half.
Jadelyn Sayrafe (Millstone/Allentown) assisted on a goal by Jaffe for the second straight game.
Sophomore
Mia Caruso (Brick/Brick Memorial) also notched an assist on the goal to collect her first career point in her 12th college game played.
Stockton's 1-0 lead stood up until the 62nd minute when Vielka Fernandez netted the equalizer for Rutgers-Newark. Neither team registered a shot on goal the rest of the way, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Morgan Keil (Upper Twp./Holy Spirit) made five saves. The Ospreys were credited with two shots on goal, both by Jaffe.
Stockton returns home to host Montclair State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the last home game of the regular season for the Ospreys.
