Wayne, N.J. – Stockton University (10-8 3-2 NJAC) scored twice in the first eight minutes and cruised to a 4-0 shutout over William Paterson (2-13, 0-5 NJAC). The victory gave the Ospreys a double-digit win total for the third straight season.
Brooke Ruiz (Voorhees/Eastern Regional),
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) and
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) each registered a goal and an assist to lead Stockton.
Thompson gave the Ospreys an early 1-0 lead with an assist by Ruiz just 2:47 into the game. Only five minutes later, Ruiz made it 2-0 with an assist by Bailey.
Stockton broke the game open with two more goals 3:56 apart in the fourth quarter.
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) potted a rebound early in the period and then Bailey netted her 40th career goal with an assist by Thompson to complete the scoring in the 4-0 triumph.

Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) needed just one save to earn her ninth career shutout and move into a tie for third in Stockton history in that category.
Stockton will finish the regular season next Saturday, November 1 when the Ospreys host Kean University at 1:00 p.m. in a game that will determine third place in the conference and the No. 3 seed for the NJAC Tournament.
