Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (11-8, 4-2 NJAC) faced off against Kean University (9-8, 3-3 NJAC) in the last game of the regular season, with both teams third in the NJAC. The Ospreys blanked the Cougars 2-0 to earn the No. 3 seed for the NJAC Tournament.
 
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) scored both goals with assists by 
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional).
 
The game had started off explosively on the offensive side for the Ospreys, They had five total shots, four on goal, and three corners, Kean goalie Daniella Maresca put on an impressive performance with four saves to lead into the second period. 
 
After a quiet second period, the third quarter started off strong for the Ospreys as Thompson got her tenth goal of the season, from an assist by Bruther. This goal came on Stockton's fifth penalty corner of the game. 
 
In almost identical fashion, three minutes later off of another penalty corner, Bruther got her second assist, giving Thompson her second goal of the game. 
 
In the fourth period, the Ospreys were able to put the game away for the 2-0 triumph. 
Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) recorded her fifth shutout of the season and her 10th career shutout, moving her into third in Osprey history.
 
EB Rafferty (Morrisville, Pa./Pennsbury), 
Makayla Alessi (Manahawkin/Southern Regional), 
MaKenzie Baggstrom (Mays Landing/Cedar Creek) and 
Melany Mosier (Berlin/Eastern Regional) were excellent on the defensive side to help complete the shutout, only allowing three shots on goal for Kean.
 
Maresca finished with 10 saves for the Cougars.
 
The Ospreys will play at The College of New Jersey, who is ranked 23rd in the nation, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the NJAC Tournament semifinals.
