Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (1-0) got the 2025-26 season off to a positive start with a 65-54 victory over Penn State Harrisburg (0-1). The Ospreys relied on contributions from newcomers and returnees alike.
Freshman
Zemirah Enalls (Barnegat/Barnegat) made an outstanding college debut with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, both of which were game highs, in just 18 minutes played.
Senior
Lauren Winant (Middletown/Middletown South) shot a perfect 3-3 from the floor plus 3-4 at the line for nine points. Transfer
Haleigh Schafer (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) chipped in with seven points and eight boards in her first game at Stockton.
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) totaled seven points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Ospreys. Stockton outrebounded Penn State Harrisburg 50-33 and led for over 31 minutes of the game.
Stockton broke out to a 19-8 lead in the first nine minutes behind seven points by Fathi and five by Enalls.
Aiyonna Alexander (Sicklerville/Winslow Twp.) scored six of Stockton's nine points in the second quarter as the lead shrunk to 28-25.
The Ospreys fell behind by five in the third period but roared back with a 15-5 run for a 43-38 edge after three. Winant and Enalls led the rally with five points apiece.
Penn State Harrisburg made it a one-possession game at 45-43 early in the fourth quarter, but Enalls answered with a basket to double the lead. The Ospreys later pulled away, leading by as much as 12 on the way to the 65-54 triumph.
Sarah Skaggs, Nicole Hernandez and Kennadi Johnson scored 12 points apiece for the Lions. Lauren Moffatt finished with nine points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Stockton will play its next game at Albright College on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
