Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (10-13, 6-10 NJAC) could not find the shooting range in the final period and fell to a game Rutgers-Camden (9-14, 5-11 NJAC) squad and fell 52-49 on Thursday night.
Katie Rausch (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) led the Ospreys with 14 points.

Stockton started strong leading after one frame 10-7 with
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) tallying five of the markers. Fathi and Rausch added five more points each in the second period as the Ospreys held a slim 24-23 advantage after one half of play.

Stockton extended their lead with an 18-16 third quarter to take a 42-39 lead after three periods, on the strength of five points each from Rausch and
Joy LeCato (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic), setting up a tight final frame.

The Ospreys held a one point lead at 49-48 with 55 seconds left on a free throw by Rausch, but that would be the last points for the home squad. Four foul shots by the Scarlet Raptors salted the game away and the visitors took a 52-49 victory on the road, as Stockton shot just 1-14 (7.1%) in the fourth quarter.

Fathi added 12 points for Stockton with
Grace Speer (Estell Manor/ACIT) chipping in with eight points and a game-high high rebounds.

Hope Goodwine led all players with 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and topped all players with five steals. Courtney Edmundo added 15 points and a game-high four assists with Rahzirah Blocker chipping in with 11 markers.

Stockton will take to the road to face Ramapo College at Mahwah, NJ on Saturday for their next game. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 pm.
