Staten Island, N.Y. - Stockton University began a two-meet weekend by competing in the Fastrack National Invite at Ocean Breeze. The Ospreys were one of the NCAA Division III teams competing among a field heavily populated with Division I and Division II athletes plus some track club members and professionals.
 
The quartet of Joseph deBeaumont (Blackwood/Highland), Marcellus Malloy (Marlton/Cherokee), and freshmen Landon Jenter (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) and Josh Barreiro (Vineland/Vineland) finished sixth out of 16 teams in the 4x400 relay (3:25.58).
 
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) placed seventh out of 21 in the high jump (1.90m). Mike Carfagno (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) had a strong day in the throws, finishing ninth out of 41 in the weight throw (14.51m) and 10th out of 46 in the shot put (13.98m). Carfagno was the top Division III performer in the weight throw.
 
In the long jump open event, freshman Timothy Lanblues (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) placed sixth (6.32m) and Khalil Turner (Galloway/Absegami) was 10th (6.16m) out of 32 competitors.
 
Stockton will be back in action tomorrow for the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College.
