Staten Island, N.Y. - Stockton University began a two-meet weekend by competing in the Fastrack National Invite at Ocean Breeze. The Ospreys were one of the NCAA Division III teams competing among a field heavily populated with Division I and Division II athletes plus some track club members and professionals.

The quartet of
Kayla Sullivan (Manahawkin/Delaware Valley),
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan),
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) and
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) provided a big highlight with a school record in the 4x400 relay (3:58.38).

The foursome took nearly a second off the old mark from 2023 by a group that also included Conroy, Kass and Petrolia. The Ospreys finished third out of 11 and were the top Division III team in the event behind Division I Delaware and Delaware State.

Petrolia also placed eighth out of 30 in the triple jump (10.98m) while Kass was 10th out of 86 in the 800m (2:17.58).
Isabella Freda (Verona/Verona) finished third out of 45 in the weight throw (15.79m).

Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) tied for sixth out of 33 in the high jump (1.60m) and placed third out of 29 in the open long jump (5.04m). Freshman
Marlie DiPalma (Hackettstown/Pope John XXIII) was fourth out of 27 in the open 60m hurdles (9.73 seconds) and fifth in the open long jump (5.01m). Freshman
Adrienne Austin (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) finished 13th out of 48 in the open 60m.

Stockton will be back in action tomorrow for the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College.
