Montclair, N.J. - Stockton University (10-12, 6-9 NJAC) stayed close to league co-leader Montclair State (19-3, 13-2 NJAC) throughout the game but was unable to pull off the upset, falling 67-61 to a Red Hawks squad that has just three losses. The Ospreys led for 10:01 of the first half's 20 minutes.

Grace Speer (Estell Manor/ACIT) paced Stockton with a team-high 15 points plus six rebounds.

ChiChi Wokocha (Galloway/Absegami) led the team with seven caroms to spark the Ospreys to a 39-33 advantage on the glass.

Speer scored six points and Fathi added four during a 12-12 first quarter. The Ospreys started quickly in the second period, with four points by Fathi and a layup by Graham for an 18-12 lead that was their largest of the game. Montclair later scored the last five points of the half to pull ahead 30-27.

The game slipped away from Stockton in the third quarter as they were outscored 23-16 and trailed by as much as 12. The Ospreys then tried to rally in the fourth period after falling behind 57-46 with 8:19 to play.

Speer scored seven counters and Graham sank a layup as Stockton reeled off nine unanswered points and closed the gap to 57-55 with 5:29 on the clock. A 7-2 run by the Red Hawks halted the comeback and the Ospreys absorbed the 67-61 setback.

Olivia Vero paced Montclair with a game-high 17 points while Alyssa Craigwell netted 13 points and Sophie Beneventine recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
