Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (5-1) extended its winning streak to four with a 21-3 rout of Drew University (1-5). Osprey players broke three school records and reached two milestones during the blowout.
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) set school records with eight goals and 10 points. Marinello also became the seventh player in program history to reach 100 career points.
Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) scored five goals while
Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) totaled four goals and four assists for eight points. Overall, 10 Ospreys recorded at least one point in the game.
Less than a week after setting a new school record for ground balls in a game,
Gina Marotta (Montville/Montville) added the Stockton mark for draw controls in a game with 13.
Lilly Alessandro (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) scooped a game-high five ground balls and became the fifth Osprey ever to reach 100 career ground balls.
Shyanne Nucifora (Lacey Twp./Lacey Twp) and
Charlotte Ondria (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) each contributed a goal and two assists.
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) tallied one goal and one assist. Freshman
Kayla Dever (Mullica Hill/Camden Catholic) netted her first career goal.
Stockton scored four times in a span of 2:52 on the way to an 8-1 lead in the first quarter. The Ospreys extended to 14-1 at the half with a 6-0 second period, and they coasted to the 21-3 triumph.
Grace Patane, Emma Gallaro and Kristina Lowe scored one goal apiece for Drew.
Stockton will travel to Misericordia on Saturday for a matchup that begins at 1:00 p.m.
