Stockton Win Streak Snapped by Muhlenberg

Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (6-2) saw their five-game winning streak come to a halt, as the Ospreys dropped a 15-8 decision to Muhlenberg College (5-1) on Tuesday afternoon. Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) scored three goals for the home team in the contest.

Stockton scored the first marker of the game by MacGillivray on an assist by Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) at 12:43 of the first period. The Mules proceeded to score the next 11 goals for a commanding 11-1 lead until Brianna Robinson (Cape May Court House/Middle Twp.) tallied with 44 seconds left in the half for an 11 -2 deficit.

The Ospreys tried to claw back, hitting the net three times in the third quarter with Robinson, MacGillivray and Lilly Alessandro (Jenkintown, PA/Abington) offsetting a pair by the visitors. Muhlenberg stretched the margin to 15-6 before MacGillivray and Charlotte Ondria (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) set the final score at 15-8, breaking the five-match winning streak.

Gibson topped all players with four assists, with goalkeeper Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) making a career-high 11 saves in the loss.

For the Mules, Alyssa Hartnett scored a game-high seven goals, with Jillian Kubikowksi scoring three goals and dishing three assists for six points. Netminder Ellison Ervin made six saves in gaining the victory.
