Fredericksburg, Va. - Stockton University (7-5, 0-1 CLC) played its first Coastal Lacrosse Conference game of the season but fell to Mary Washington (7-4, 1-0 CLC) 23-8, on the road. The Ospreys fell behind 6-2 in the first quarter and could not catch up.

Jack Vandegrift (Jenkintown, Pa./LaSalle College Prep) led the Ospreys with a hat trick while
Robbie O'Brien (Springfield, Pa./Springfield-Delco) added two goals.

Connor Albrecht (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West),
Gage Parker (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) and
Josh Graham (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) each chipped in one.

Despite the loss, Stockton goalkeeper
Ben Blum (Mt.Laurel/Lenape) put in a strong effort, recording 16 saves against relentless pressure. Mary Washington outshot Stockton 71-27, controlling the pace of the game from start to finish.

Mary Washington's offense was dominant, led by Dave Votapek, who delivered an outstanding performance with five goals.

The Ospreys will look to rebound in their next matchup on Tuesday, April 2 when they host No. 2-ranked Salisbury at 4 p.m.
