Reading, Pa. - Stockton University (9-2) continued its offensive dominance with a commanding 17-8 victory over Alvernia University (2-8), marking their third straight win. The Ospreys scored the first five goals of the game and never looked back.
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) maintained her scoring momentum from the previous game, netting five more goals and contributing one assist. The Ospreys surged ahead to a 13-1 advantage by halftime, setting the tone for the game.
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) and
Julia Gibson (Cape May Point/Lower Cape May) each netted two goals while
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) and
Madison MacGillivray (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) recorded hat tricks. Gibson also dished a game-high four assists.
Lilly Alessandro (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) and
Ashley Pringle (Barnegat/Barnegat) also contributed to the scoring effort with a goal apiece. Alessandro helped the Ospreys stay on the attack with 10 draw controls, tying her career high.
Stockton applied relentless pressure on offense, outshooting Alvernia 29-17. On the defensive end,
Jordan Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) was solid in goal, making six saves to help secure the win.
The Ospreys will look to keep their winning streak alive in their next matchup on April 5, when they take on Kean University at 4:00 p.m. in their NJAC opener.
